We stayed here with our two dogs. All the staff were as friendly to our dogs as they were to us and made us feel very welcome. Couldn’t fault anything and will definitely stay at the Knaresborough Inn when we are in this part of the country again.

Room was very good. Comfortable and clean. Easy to check in and out. There’s some lovely spots within walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast sausages were good. I liked the cold water jar during the day. Food was tasty with a good variety. Restaurant was short staffed, which happens everywhere so not a complaint. The 2 young bar staff handled it very well and worked hard - good job lads! Unfortunately their manager wasn’t quite as smiley and could’ve done without the muttering under her breath.

The hotel is great and have stayed before. However, we were put in a disabled room even though requested not to be and it was unsuitable for someone able bodied. Had no surfaces in bathroom to put toiletries, sink was too low and nowhere to put towels near shower. The whole floor got soaked when showering. The bedroom was large but had no suitcase stand and the dressing table mirror was inaccessible as was above the drawer side not the seating side. First time I’ve ever left a review but feel disabled rooms should only be allocated to people who need them as not suitable for able bodied!

We had a fantastic time, the room was excellent, very clean and plenty of space, the staff were very helpful at all times, the food was very good and good value for money, overall a very good stay and would recommend to everyone

We had a lovely weekend at this hotel. Recently refurbished and done to a very high standard. Two lovely, large beer gardens. We had upgraded our room and wasn’t disappointed at the additional cost. The bathroom was large with a modern shower, we had a king sized bed and there was also a settee in the room. The breakfast was plentiful and choice of hot or cold food. The location could not have been better - a 5 minute walk down to the river and less than 10 minutes walk, in the other direction, to the town. A very large car park to the rear of the hotel. Our room also had a door to the outside and a paved area. If I had one piece of feedback to give to the hotel it would have been to have a table and 2 chairs on the paved area. Some of the rooms in the grounds - that looked like chalets - did have tables and chairs. Of course it could be that as the hotel has only just been refurbished that is still on their “to do” list. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to visit and explore Knaresborough; which was also a treat!

Hotel location great and clean but sadly cold beans and poor breakfast selection no veggie breakfast on display and beans were stone cold only one type pastry breakfast was so poor . The room I was in had a soft fire door closer not soft close so when anyone in the hall let there door slam or the corridor door it made a loud bang disbursing sleep

I had forgotten to check if there was a lift or book a room on ground floor as my husband can’t manage stairs anymore! However on arrival a kind gentleman ( think he was the Manager ) arranged for us to have a lovely downstairs room which was spotless. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts had plenty of hot and cold choices and a menu too of special cooked breakfasts. Lovely seating area outside too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Food we had for dinner was awful had couple of mouthfuls left it. When eventually collected plates I explained was disappointed and just got sorry about that. We didn't bother having breakfast went out and paid for it elsewhere. Overall service was bad. Room was clean and comfortable but there was a constant hum from somewhere which affected sleep quality.

The Knaresborough Inn is a lovely hotel situated at the top of a hill, it's a short walk down to the river Nidd and the world's end pub. The hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff are courteous and friendly. The food was very nice and the breakfast supurb. The room we stayed in was rather small but clean and relaxing and the bed was quite comfy, I would stay in this hotel again a look forward to going g back.
